Western Funding Inc. was incorporated in 1962 and licensed as a personal property broker by the State of California. We recognized that both businesses and consumers had a need for a financing source for sub-standard contacts, also known as 'sub-prime' contracts. We realized that people who were new in the area, recently bankrupt, or perhaps had a lack of or a poor credit history were still entitled to credit but were constantly being turned down by banks and other lending institutions. We also knew that these types of sales were not necessarily being made to the 'Grade C' buyer, but were nonetheless difficult to finance because of their sub-standard nature, such as service contracts, direct sales, etc. Our innovative approach and vast experience in the finance industry has led us to be the leader in all types of sub-prime finance, from automobile contracts to goods and services

We employ a common-sense approach to credit approval; point systems, computerized credit underwriting, and the like simply do not measure up to human decision-making. These methods often do not account for mitigating facts and circumstances that can mean the difference between a completed sale and lost revenue.
